The Snoozebox hotel project at Stoneleigh Park, required a short installation time. The Snoozebox hotel system can go from an empty site to a fully operation 80 bedroom hotel in four days, and is only intended as a short term solution. This meant that there was no time to install a fibre link, and the cost would have outweighed the benefits.
Although the hotel modules are already cabled, the standard installation uses a satellite download, which can be quite expensive. As Stoneleigh Park already had fibre optic broadband, they wanted to use that in the hotel.
To achieve this, we installed EnGenius long range outdoor WiFi units, fully weatherproof to IP65 standards. By configuring one end as an access point, and the other as a client bridge, the installation only took a few hours, and worked immediately.
